Green: A book with a green cover
Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas
Blarney: A book that deceived you into either liking it or was overhyped and you ended up disliking it.
Truthwitch by Susan Dennard! I was so tricked!!! This was possibly the most hyped book of the year, though, so it was unlikely to live up to my expectations. I was so sure I was gonna love it, but guess not…
Brogue (dialect): A book where one of the characters has an accent.
Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton. Amani is noted as having a “Last County accent,” which I imagine as kind of a Western twang.
Leprechaun: A book you enjoyed when you were a little person.
Eloise by Kay Thompson and Hilary Knight! Such good memories of that book! *sigh*
Pot of Gold: A book that cost you a lot or is of great value to you.
I just recieved a signed copy of V.E. Schwab’s A Darker Shade of Magic and I’ve never owned a signed copy of a book before, so it’s pretty cool! Plus one of the main characters shares my name, so that’s a bonus.
Four-leaf clover or shamrock: four leaves = more than one book. Pick your current or old favorite series.
Oh, goodness. This is a tough one. There are so many good series! Agh! Let’s see…How about…The Winner’s Trilogy by Marie Rutkoski! It’s all I think about as the last book comes out so soon!
Magic: A book that you found magical or a book where you enjoyed a magic element that was found in the storyline.
I loved the magic in The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh, because it’s so subtle. There are just tiny hints of it throughout the story, but it’s just enough to give it this mystical feel.
Kiss: Your current favorite book pairing or your all time favorite book pairing.
Amani and Jin from Rebel of the Sands! They’re just so made for each other, all standstorm and grit!
Luck: A book on your shelf that you will luckily get to… someday.
Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson. I hope to get to it…soon…*sigh*
Jig: A book that if you don’t currently own but if could get a hold of it- it would make you dance with joy. (Can be a book that isn’t released yet or a book you would really like to own)
The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi–I NEED IT SO BADLY!!!
